The position
The investors put money into a business and it is not working. The founders are struggling or gone, the numbers cannot be relied on, and the board is meeting about what to do. Nobody at this scale calls a major consultancy. The investors need someone who has run businesses, who can tell them what is actually there, and who will do the work rather than write a report about it.
